Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a non-profit?
No. We do not accept donations to run our business. We are a community driven waste management service – we charge for our services. We do aim to give back to the community where we can through our community outreach initiative that is being developed. ANY “DONATIONS” RECEIVED ARE TREATED LIKE TIPS FOR OUR HARDWORKING EMPLOYEES, AND ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR OUR SERVICES.
What are your prices?
Our prices range from 50 dollars (for one item) to 400 dollars (per trailer) depending on the volume of junk removed. This is prior to any fees associated with more complex jobs.
How do your appointment times work?
When we schedule an appointment with you, we try our best to arrive at that time. Circumstances often arise (traffic, issues at the dump, previous jobs that take longer than anticipated) that can circumvent these expectations.
We presume a two hour window for arrival. If we schedule an appointment for 11am, we anticipate to arrive between 11am to 1pm. This allows us a buffer in case something arises, and we try our best to disclose this window to all our clients.
If we need to reschedule for another time within the day, say we push the 11am appointment to 12pm, that readjusts the two hour window from 11-1 to 12-2.
Why should we use your services over the other junkers in town?
We are more than just “junkers”. We are your neighbors! We work hard to facilitate budgets, timelines, and other needs our clients may have.
Do you offer curbside services?
While we aim to facilitate weekly curbside recycling pickups in the future, we currently are unable to offer this level of service for the community. We recommend reaching out to Queen City Disposal for those needs.
Where does the junk go?
Each item we pick up, we evaluate to determine how best to handle it. If we can donate, recycle, or otherwise dispose of the item without having to go to the landfill – we try and prioritize that method.
However, sometimes it is inevitable that we must take loads to the landfill. We ensure all junk is handled with mindfulness and consideration.
I have some paint left over from my remodel, can you take it for me?
House hold chemicals can be recycled at the Household Chemical Collection Center (HCCC). They offer their services free of charge: items accepted are hazardous, toxic, and flammable items such as automotive products, pesticides, household cleaners, aerosol cans, arts and crafts materials, and other home improvement products like oil-based paints and stains.
We encourage you to reach out and make an appointment to drop these items off with them for free. Due to liability concerns, we will not be able to accept these type of items at this time. [HCCC phone number: (417) 864-2000]
Do I have to do the lifting myself?
We do not require any assistance from our clients when we are picking up your junk. We are a full service provider.
The moment you decide you want your junk gone, we come and remove it with no extra effort on your part.
Be aware that at times we may charge a fee based on factors such as distance from the trailer, weight, and whether or not we must dismantle an object to remove it.
What kind of junk will you remove?
We will take just about anything, with exceptions: We won’t take hazardous industrial waste, waste water, restaurant cooking oil, and other hazardous materials.
Can I get an exact price before you arrive?
Our dispatchers try to give an accurate quote based on the information they are provided. Since we have base prices on volume and other services – we can give a quote that is predictable.
Circumstances may arise where fees are applied or the information exchanged didn’t reflect the realized situation. Under those circumstances, the drivers will do their best to provide a more accurate quote prior to working.
Adjustments may need to be made once everything is loaded into the trailer.
Does Waste Walkers Dispatch remove hazardous waste?
Industrial hazardous waste, waste water, and explosives will not be accepted for the safety of our employees.
General household hazardous waste, such as those outlined on the Household Chemical Collection Center website can be taken recycled by appointment with their facility.

Will Waste Walkers Dispatch show up even if no one is on-site?
